Compare AI work rates without guessing

Currency, pay unit, scope and availability matter more than a large headline number.

Keep the original unit

Start with the exact unit the source supplies: hour, task, project or another stated basis. A task may take minutes or hours, and a project fee may include revisions. This index only offers numeric range filtering when you choose a currency and a pay unit. That keeps unlike figures from appearing comparable.

Treat ranges as ranges

The top of a posted range may depend on expertise, geography, assessment results or project needs. A range is not an individual offer. Where a listing supplies only a maximum, read it as “up to,” and where it supplies only a minimum, read it as “from.” Missing pay is missing evidence; it is not zero pay and should not be filled with a guess.

Check what earns the rate

Before deciding, look for acceptance criteria and the unit of approved work. Consider whether the stated scope includes preparation, review and revisions. If the platform does not explain these details, use the application or project onboarding process to clarify them. Record the terms of your own offer rather than relying on an aggregator summary.

Availability is a separate question

A high hourly rate and a small number of available tasks can produce very different results from regular employment. Talent networks often match people to projects; joining one does not establish a work schedule. Avoid annualizing a contract rate unless you have a real, agreed basis for hours and duration. We do not turn source rates into implied salaries.

Build a short comparison

For each opportunity, note the original source, currency, unit, stated range, task scope, eligibility and last check date. Leave unknown fields blank. Compare the same currency and unit first, then decide which unanswered questions are worth resolving. This makes uncertainty visible while keeping the final decision in your hands.
